SWISS carries more passengers in August
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS)1 transported a total of 1,871,704 passengers in August, a 6.7% increase on the same month last year. The travellers were carried on 14,126 flights, 6.5% more than were operated in the prior-year period.
Systemwide passenger capacity, measured in available seat-kilometres (ASK), was raised 1.9% from its August 2018 level. Total traffic volume, measured in revenue passenger-kilometres (RPK), also increased by 1.9%. As a result, systemwide seat load factor for the month remained unchanged from its prior-year level at 89.2%.
