SWISS carries more passengers in August
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS)1 transported 1,753,933 passengers in August 2018, an increase of 7.6% on the same month last year. The airline also operated more flights during the month: 13,268, up 5.1% on the prior-year period.
Total systemwide capacity for August, measured in available seat-kilometres (ASKs), was raised 4.5% from its prior-year level. Total traffic volume for the month, measured in revenue passenger-kilometres (RPKs), was up 5.8%. Systemwide seat load factor improved accordingly, rising 1.1 percentage points to 89.2%.
